An Extremely Bad Blog Post Title And Topic.

It was a bad start. The title, “Getting Started” was, I have to confess, an extremely bad title for my first post. Why? Well, it’s not very attention grabbing, to begin with, and I’ve only spent two or three days trying to think of a follow up title for my next installment. And now I’m at pains to lead into the purpose of this post, which is, essentially, the follow on from that first post. Hmmm!

Okay, so, the first post said that I’d update on what’s been happening as I move forward. I set myself a plan of action, so to speak, and I soon got to work on it, and I have to say the results have been quite interesting. My productivity has improved a great deal.

However, it’s tough when you’re doing everything for yourself. I’d love to give an air of ‘Big Business’ on the blog, however, I’m sure the average reader can spot that kind of falsehood a mile off. And, I’ve a long time been bigger on honesty than almost any other virtue I can think of.

So, here’s what I’ve been up to.

I got cracking on the website right away, almost, and opened up the appropriate software and made some little icons for each of the sections of the website. I got some pages written up, for both website and blog. I also scheduled some posts for Facebook and the blog, which run through quicker than I could keep up with. I also changed the WP Theme on the blog.

My biggest achievement, I believe, was finally making my first product available, complete with free giveaway, The 7 Step Blueprint To Rewiring Your Mind For Success.

It’s been a couple of weeks since that first post and in the interim period I’ve realised that interaction with my prospective audience is just as important as building my website. I also realise, now, that this topic is probably not what I want to be writing about. The detail is just far too tedious. It’s time for me to start writing the blog instead of this detail.

The details will come out in the Internet Marketing theme anyway, particularly when I get to the “How To” stuff.

So, moving forward, I hope to be giving some more valuable content of the sort that I set out to in the first place. I’ll finish the Habits of the successful after the holidays and then I can start planning for 2018, (which should have been done by now).

And there’s a thought. I should probably have mentioned that the Personal Development theme is as much about my own journey as it is about my endeavors to help others. And, I have to remind myself that I’m not the only coach that doesn’t ‘have it all down’ and all together. There is a saying that goes something along the lines of “What we are teaching is what we most need to learn“. Even my own coach has a coach. So it is that my journey in self-improvement is shared with you, because as I am teaching, I am also learning.

And anyone whom cannot be both is doing a lot of people a gross disservice.

I’ll be looking into hiring a VA in 2018 to help take some of the work load, and I’ll also be re-writing my schedule. Now that the website is almost ready for the masses, (although this should always remain a work in progress), I’ll have a little more time for blogging, podcasting, (possibly), and live, or pre-recorded video, and the all important audience interaction.

In the meantime, enjoy the holidays, and I look forward to ‘meeting’ you and some other awesome people in 2018.
