Here’s why every coach needs a coach.

I spent around 45 minutes with my coach yesterday, and the results were nothing short of amazing. Did I hear you ask why?

Because we focused on MY ‘business model’ and what exactly I want to achieve. He took me right back to the initial thoughts and ideas that caused me to want to start a business of the type I am currently building. He looked at my website and asked several questions, he asked about my target market, he asked what I actually had to offer, he questioned my ability to stay focused and he made a few suggestions as to what I might think about in terms of my goals between today and our next meeting.

The result/s?

I am tearing it up and starting all over again…

Over on Facebook, a few days back, I posted a live video answering the question, “What is Self-Empowerment Alliance?”. Incidentally, I’m about to tear that video down too.

Internet Marketing2
Is your IM Garbage Free?

In that video I described how the whole IM funnel stuff works, only to say that I don’t like it one bit. I actually believe that I would lose sleep if I was to sell someone something that was only PART OF a product, have them land on an upsell page, down-sell page or a massive page with a whole pile of outdated free garbage.

If you read My Story, I hope that it comes over that all I want to do is help people. Milking all I can get out of you before you realise what I’m doing is not my idea of great business. I don’t care how many 100k most IMers claim to be making.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some great IMers out there, and right now my personal favourite is Kevin Fahey. Kevin will show you how to make money online and what I know today, (which I’ve been slow to reveal), is owing to the training courses that I’ve bought from him. Kevin is honest and he’s worth spending money on if you have it and can follow through with a decent financial investment. You’ll probably need a bit of techy knowledge as well to get up and running.

There are also some great products to promote, either by JV or by buying PLR, but the majority, I feel, are lacking in REAL quality and most are somewhat past their own sell-by date, (plr). It takes a bit of research – you really have to dig into a product to see if you can honestly say to yourself, “I would buy this and will have no problems, conscious wise, with selling or promoting it”. However, some marketers will sell or give away any old junk, really.

So, how does all this fit in with my “tearing it all down”?

I have always been a sucker for the “underdog”. The guys and gals that want to make some cash but have no money to invest in any way, shape or form. I’ve been there and it sucks. I want to forget about trying to make 5, 6 or 7 figures in total income like some marketers say they are making. I don’t feel any need to aim for the “Big Ticket”.

I want to help people who know how to use a laptop, don’t have much to spend but would like to make some kind of start that can be scaled when the money starts coming in.

So, I’m ripping up the pages on my website that include PLR products that I feel have no intrinsic value – they are dead and nobody in their right mind would waste money on them. That was my mistake. There’s no way I can count the money that I’ve wasted on buying PLRs and shiny new sh…tuff that’s just flat out garbage.

I’ve been trying to flog a dead horse, as it were.

Instead, I’m going to be doing something quite different. My own training programme. You see, my coach helped me define my ideal customer avatar. I’m not about to go into great detail here. Not at this stage. Suffice to say that I have a lot of work to do, and I’m thoroughly looking forward to getting started.

The final point I want to make is this.

I see my blog being followed by a few IMers. I’m quite sure most of you know what you’re doing and when my blog popped up it may have looked like “a new shiny object”. Somewhere from which one might find some few gems to add to their collection. It is not my intention to offend anyone. However, if you’re a seasoned Internet marketer, the Self-Empowerment Alliance blog is most likely not for you.

I’ll let you decide.

On the other hand, if you decide that your conscience is 100% clear and you enjoy a little bit of personal development fodder for the old grey mass, then feel free to stick around.  🙂

And that’s why every coach should have a coach.
